We 'is' Brothers (And sisters)

They say a picture tells a thousand stories. We’ve got a macha, a typical chinaman, a mamat and hey, even one chindian fella.

The image above has never been tampered nor it was pre-arranged for the camera to be used in some Petronas ad or some shit.

Muhibbah? Perhaps but that particular occasion was the real deal, without making a big fuss of our colour blindness.

For the record, a sole Muslim bloke (me!) who doesn’t drink was exempted from chipping in on the liquor bill. Tolerance prevailed that night.

Realistically we still have a long way to go before we reach the desired peak with pride but it’s happening and you bet, we are moving on the right direction.

Salam Merdeka, fellow citizens!

Great to see Malaysians get together this way.
It has always be so...until UMNO and BN keep playing race and religion dirty separate us.
Great to see young Malaysians are not interested in race and religion politics.
All they are interested is to change the government.

In my younger days, that is a norm rather than an exception. How things have changed. Glad that this spirit is clawing its way back to where it should belong.

Happy National Day
Selamat Berpuasa

Your last gardening entry truly hilarious laa.. but you think the gomen and their ameNO cyber poopers would buy it?

I've always known we are braders and sistahs, so no issues laa dude! Sometimes I even get to pick up the tab. Heh.

OK Salaam Ramadhan, and it's time to do some serious "cuci rohani" dude...

Dear readers of Kerp's blog,

Please note that Kerp here was SUPPOSED to pick up the ENTIRE TAB & despite several rounds of grateful applause, he eventually squrimed out of it.

Like a TRUE MALAYSIAN, he seems to have absorbed the STINGY characteristics of the Celylonese & Hokkien buggers seated next to him!

Ha ha ha! (Next time we'll get you!)

ps: There was about 20 of us at that do all colour & creed. WHat a great nite. Looking forward to the next one. After Raya ok?

Way to go Bro! May I take this opportunity to wish all my Muslin bros n sis selamat berpuasa. I not celebrate Merdeka la .. not then so many of our fellow anak-anak bangsa Malaysia still locked up under ISA, no independent judiciary, racism exists, etc. etc. Very sad but hope to soon celebrate a true Merdeka.

Puan Carr,

Eh, yea la…I kinda noticed it too. Each time I post way late into the night, you’d be the first to leave a comment. I guess you could blame it on the nature of the job I’m doing now that requires me to stay up. Then usually would post an entry bila habis keje…

Salam merdeka and selamat menyambut ramadhan too…eh, Michael puasa ke?

Same to you brother. Happy national day.

Mr goh,

Yes, agreed. Young Malaysians are more civilised nowadays. Playing the racial card will only lead us to dissent and ultimately clashes against each other, just because of our difference in skin colours.

Exactly what my dad keeps telling me and my bro. During his younger days, racial integration was a normal sight, not really a big deal. Then it went wrong some where. It is making a come back, but my hope is it will stay.

Thank you so much. You have a great merdeka too, brother.

Kak Pi,

Somewhere up the family tree, our opah could be related, y’know. Ipoh mali maa…kihkih…salam merdeka and selama menyambut Ramadan akak.

Mas salo,

I believe they would fall for even the dumbest trick. They’re idiots arent they, mas? Muahahahaaa…

I think for Malaysians who have been celebrating 51 years of independence, race should no longer be an issue in the first place. But at times, a reminder would do us good.

Salam merdeka bro. and selamat menyambut Ramadan. Buka atas penlanta minyak ke bang? Kihkihhh…

Muahahahaha…eh bro, surin’s a Ceylonese bloke ka? Thought he’s a true blue macha la…

That’s the beauty part of that night; we couldn’t care any less of our colors. It was the great company that mattered. It could have been sweeter if you footed the entire bill…muahaha…

*yea man, count me in on the next makan2…will give ya a call before raya, for a little arrangement.

Aunty iris,

Thank you so much, aunty. Here’s wishing you a good weekend (since you don’t celebrate merdeka)…we still have a long way to go before we can claim a total freedom but there’s still hope yet. And I’m counting on it.
